Red Bull Gaming Sphere, the new hub for gaming and esports in the UK will open its doors to the public for the first time tomorrow night for Friday Night Brawl, a high-stakes knockout tournament with a different game taking centre stage each week
Red Bull today announces the official public launch of the Red Bull Gaming Sphere. This Friday, March 23rd, sees the inaugural ‘Friday Night Brawl’, a knockout tournament where players compete for a £100 cash prize. A different game will take centre stage from 5pm to 10pm each week, with Friday Night Brawl just the first of many epic events to be held at the state of the art gaming studio.
The Red Bull Gaming Sphere is the largest public esports studio in the UK and acts as a hub for the UK esports and gaming communities, offering a stunning venue with state of the art gaming technology. The exciting lineup of events set to take place within the space are to focus will include workshops, training sessions, public tournaments and more.
‘Practice Quarters,’ is an invitational community event for like-minded gamers to get together, train and share ideas. Beginning in April, the Red Bull Gaming Sphere will host Practice Quarters every other Thursday, with the first in the series focusing on Street Fighter V. The studio will also host a series of workshops from next month, inviting university teams and the public to sign up for week long intensive workshops, with the first offering a world class Dota 2 coaching session with pro player Purge.
The launch of the London venue represents Red Bull’s continued commitment to growing and supporting the UK gaming and esports communities. As part of this commitment, the Red Bull Gaming Sphere is set to introduce a booking system where groups and individuals can book in time to play and train in the lead up to important events such as qualifiers and tournaments, offering support to UK gamers when they need it most.
The Red Bull Gaming Sphere has been designed as a multi-purpose facility with a modular setup that allows for bespoke configuration to suit any gaming occasion. In addition to meeting like-minded gamers, guests will also have opportunities to meet and play with their esports heroes through workshops or one-on-one activities, with in-house leaderboards to track challenges to the finest players from around the UK.
The Friday Night Brawl will take place every Friday night at Red Bull Gaming Sphere from 5pm-10pm.
