WorldGaming Announces Rocket League Canadian Challenge



Today WorldGaming Network announced the start of a new, first-of-its-kind competitive video gaming tournament for Rocket League, the sports-action hit with a community of more than 44 million players. Teams of three can now register for the ‘WorldGaming Rocket League Canadian Challenge,’ a 3v3 tournament that has over $20,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs, including $10,000 for the winning team.

Played on PC, the online qualifiers for the ‘WorldGaming Rocket League Canadian Challenge,’ will run from June 16-July 8, 2018, with Regional Finals going down online on July 22, 2018. The top eight teams from the Regional Finals will compete in Toronto at Cineplex’s Scotiabank Theatre Toronto on August 18-19, 2018, at the Finals.

WorldGaming also announced today that it is partnering with Pizza Pops® and Driving Force to help bring the tournament to life. Both brands are excited to jump into the world of esports as key contributors to this the event, with the partnership providing them access to promotional and advertising opportunities through activations at ‘live’ events as well as for online programming.

Pre-registration for the tournament is available starting today at Worldgaming.com/RocketLeagueCC. This tournament is open and eligible to all players in Canada who are 14 years of age and older, on PC.
