DAY ONE OF PUBG MOBILE CLUB OPEN 2019 GLOBAL FINALS CONCLUDES WITH LIVE PERFORMANCES, CELEBRITY COMPETITIONS AND MORE
The first day of competition concluded today for the inaugural PUBG MOBILE Club Open 2019 Global Championship in Berlin, Germany. The day ended with team X Quest F taking the lead with the most amount of points, followed by last year’s PUBG MOBILE Star Challenge champion RRQ Athena, Elite Gaming and Spacestation rounding out the top five.

The PUBG MOBILE Club Open 2019 Global Finals esports tournament pits the top 16 teams from around the globe in the mobile game battling for the championship and $2.5 million in prize money. Be sure to tune in to the event’s official live stream to catch Day Two and Day Three here.

Day One of the PUBG MOBILE Club Open 2019 finals also concluded the TEAM UP show match, which featured NBA superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo alongside Alan Walker and eight other celebrities and influencers from around the world including Boy Pakorn, Pevita Pearce, Chi Pu, PowerBang and more.
“When I’m not playing ball, I play games with my friends and brothers. I find the game a great way to relieve stress,” said Antetokounmpo. “In game and in real life, it is imperative to learn to team up.” The TEAM UP campaign was launched this summer to bring even more exciting, interactive content to the players.
“As our player base grows, PUBG MOBILE has become a great bridge that connects players from all over the world and has encouraged them to team up to meet challenges,” said Vincent Wang, General Manager of Global Publishing Department, Tencent Games.
The PUBG MOBILE Club Open 2019 is divided into Spring and Fall Split, each with a separate prize pool totaling $2.5 million USD. The top 16 teams from across 10 regions (South East Asia, India, the Middle East, North America, South America, Europe, Korea, Japan, China and Wildcard). The qualifiers for the PUBG MOBILE Club Open 2019 began March 2019 when over 30,000 teams battled to earn a spot at the prestigious event. PMCO 2019 provides a path for aspiring semi-pro clubs to pave their way to become esports professionals.
