Gaming Istanbul 2020 kicks off with more highlight announcements

Gaming Istanbul (GIST) opens its gates for its fifth edition January 30th - February 2nd, to once again welcome Turkish gamers and international gaming professionals. Gaming Istanbul is the largest international gaming and eSports event in Turkey and the MENA region, and one of the largest in Europe in visitor-, professional- and exhibitor company-numbers.

Located in the Old City of Istanbul, in close proximity to Haiga Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Byzantium Cistern and other historical landmarks, Gaming Istanbul offers gamers, visitors and professionals a digital gateway to Turkey and the MENA markets.

This year’s line up includes plenty of big industry names, such as Redbull Gaming Ground, Google, Monster Energy, Logitech, Unreal Engine and Gram Games. GIST 2020 announces many further highlights for gamers worldwide today. For example, Mount & Blade II Bannerlord, the sequel to Mount & Blade by Taleworlds, will finally be available to explore in multiplayer at GIST 2020, an occasion expected by over 20 million fans and gamers worldwide.

The next huge announcement is the 48 hours session of Global Game Jam, the worldwide gathering of game developers, synchronised with hundreds of GGJs worlwide, sponsored by Google. GIST is also proud to list Funcom with Conan Exiles among their roster of successful developers and publishers.

In addition to the NimoTV sponsored GIST Main Stage tournaments of PUBG Mobile, Mobile Legends Bang Bang and other titles, with top Turkish eSports teams like Besiktas and Fenerbahce, GIST will also host Turkey’s first and only influencer-fan meeting event series #kalkgel.

Furthermore, GIST|DC Developers Conference partnered up with Turkish University Game Developers (UNOG) and will again impress with a line up of international speakers. The tradition of the GIST Indie Area, sponsored by Rollic, will also celebrate its return this year. Indie developers from all over the world, will be offered to present their game ideas to possible partners completely free of charge.

Gaming Istanbul reaches 4.6 million gamers and 23.9 million gaming related individuals in Turkey and around 86 million in the MENA through its influencers and channels for its exhibitors and brands. GIST 2020 ist expected to host over 100.000 visitors.
