Bootstrap Island Sails onto Viveport
Bootstrap Island, the challenging VR survival game for PCVR headsets originally released via Steam Early Access in February 2024. Maru VR is proud to announce that from today, 30th September 2024, Bootstrap Island will be available via Viveport.
A hardware-agnostic platform for all VR headsets, Viveport offers a premium experience for VR gamers. Bootstrap Island is excited to become part of this established ecosystem, bringing its realistic VR gameplay to even more players around the world.
This follows on from the recently announced news that Bootstrap Island will be a part of the HTC VIVE Focus Vision “Wild Pack” Bundle! VIVE Focus Vision Consumer Edition can be pre-ordered today for $999 USD / £999 GBP, with the bundle featuring Bootstrap Island, Metro Awakening, Breachers and Arizona Sunshine 2.
Furthermore, Bootstrap Island has the “Jungle Overlord” update to look forward to this October. Introducing the first boss to the tropical island, adventurers will find the sizeable foe hidden in its formidable Dark Lair, deep within the jungle.
Adding a brand-new component into this survival experience, for the first time survivors will face the fearsome Jungle Overlord. A towering beast found within the depths of the island's interior, the Jungle Overlord knows the terrain and can easily utilise the surroundings to gain an advantage. Survivors must be prepared, ensuring their equipment is well-maintained to take on this powerful foe.
Bootstrap Island’s full release is planned for late 2025.
