"We are excited to make the first official announcement about DarkenDerek: The Last Fallen," say the three developers of ActionGames.c.l.r. "Over a year after the release of DarkenDerek: The Last Fallen, we are pleased to announce our decision to give everyone the opportunity to play our first, and not last, game for FREE.

This choice was made to allow all gamers to access this title. In this time of wars, environmental and economic crises, we need to give everyone the chance to have fun and release their anxieties and frustrations while enjoying moments of leisure and entertainment.

DarkenDerek: The Last Fallen is a return to the past; in fact, it stems from the nostalgia we developers have for the video games of the '90s. Its roots are deep in fertile ground: DarkenDerek: The Last Fallen draws inspiration from games like Duke Nukem 3D, Doom, and other FPS titles that emerged in the '90s.

Ironically and humorously, DarkenDerek: The Last Fallen tells the story of Darken, a muscular man who spends his life surrounded by women, weapons, and anything destructive that exists. This continues until a group of aliens, due to a malfunction in their interstellar navigation system, crash onto Earth, specifically in Club City. There, they discover the pleasures of life and try to export Club City to their planet, thereby creating significant problems for Darken and all his fellow citizens who risk losing alcohol and women forever.

These are the foundations of the story that make this game a fun and ironic title. The gameplay is very similar to that of '90s FPS games, although it is influenced by current gaming modes without losing its original soul.

The user rating on Steam is currently very positive, despite it being our first game. Currently, we have two more games in development, including Darkness: Prince of Shadows, announced a few months ago, and The City of Nightmares, a horror title that will come to life in the coming years.

We hope to make many players happy who currently struggle to purchase new games. The price of DarkenDerek: The Last Fallen has dropped from $4.99 to $2.99 in the months following its release, and it has had various discounts making it available at a much lower price. It was in these situations that we realized the game was being purchased in parts of the world where life is not so easy, and therefore we decided to make it free on the Steam platform.

Our goal is to make our work your joy; we hope to succeed and make you happy."
